A trip to Katraj Dairy.....!
Hi Friends,
Last Friday (ie,29/09/12) was very existing one for the students of SE Mech .Around 146 students from ISB&M SOT set foot on the famous Katraj Dairy for their academic Industrial Visit..
The visit in several ways a good enjoyment gong to the minute details the way teachers arranged the students to be lined up in front of the gate made many to remember their old School tours were teachers do the same..
In between several students were enjoyng taking self & Group pics of each other ,may be to have an instant upload to F.B Stating tht we are enjoyng outside with an attendance.
It was well noticing and astonishing that all the workers before entering the facility for work gong to the near by temple to pray .Sometimes these little prayers and regular hardwork have brought the enormous success of the Dairy from a small group of co-operative society of common farmers into a 30 million turnover co-operation.
After seeing the making of several Milk products and working of different machinery students didn't missed out th milk products from the near by Katraj dairy outlet were everything comes in Duty Free prizes .
The Fun trip didn't got end there most of the students went again in groups to see the near by Katraj Snake Park to feel the nature and enjoy different animals and Curious things there..
Like wise a strict Industrial Trip become a lovely and well enjoyed Pleasure Trip............

Hi Friends,
I think After all this enjoyment & timepassz we came across the inevitable event in our college days where we have no choice bt to bend our heads & accept all the mistakes which we have been doing throughout the sem.Yes the tym of internals where teachers can see their students as much as they want & make them realise th mistakes(if any) they have done .....
But Not Everybody will get such a chance ,ConDitionz Apply* :Only to those students who were shy to show their faces to teachers & had guts to roam in & out of collage during class hours will have this eXclusive ChanCeZ.....
Thinking at the fact that a simple sign of teachers & a decent mark for internals matters a lot for the sem percentile. At least a few students might be feeling that all masti & roaming should have been avoided ,bt wht to do nw its out of our hand lets see what is stored for US(GOD plz dont make it to be painstaking )........
Also ,late i LIKE to welcome all the direct Secound Year students( Statically Speaking -137 students) who became a part of the huge ISB&M family a while ago..srry for the delay in welcoming .i hope it will be quite an enjoyment the life with U all in the coming years throughout the narrow lanes to become an ENGG and a way ahead.
To the juniors guys i hope U all are quite comfortable with the new environment and life @ ISB&M.And even got a taste of Pune Uni. by completing the Phase-1 eXam..Hope U all have done well .Further ,i like to eXtend a sharing hand to U guys that if U hav any doubts or problems feel absolutely free to chat & sort it out with ur seniors.
See U & Take care

First Quantum Computer With Quantum CPU And Separate Quantum RAM
hi Friends
hope u are all fine ,today i like to introduce U all to an article contributed by an ex-isbmsot faculty Prakash Narkhede read and enjoy it........
First Quantum Computer With Quantum CPU And Separate Quantum RAM
Back in 1946, the world's first general purpose electronic computer was
switched on at the University of Pennsylvania. The huge processing
power of ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integrator And Computer) stunned
the world, or at least the few dozen people who had any idea what it
was for and why it was important.
But ENIAC had an important flaw. It could only be programmed by resetting a myriad switches and dials, a task that could take weeks. And this seriously hindered the computer's flexibility.
The solution was not hard to find. it had already been outlined by Alan Turing, John Von Neumann and others: have a unit for number crunching and a separate electronic memory that could store instructions and data. That design meant that any reprogramming could be done relatively quickly, easily and electronically.
Today, almost all modern computers use this design, now known as the Von Neumann architecture.
The exception is the quantum computer. These devices use the strange properties of the quantum world to perform huge numbers of calculations in parallel. Consequently they have the potential to vastly outperform conventional number crunchers.
Unfortunately, physicists have only a vague and fleeting power over the quantum world and this means has prevented them the luxury of designing a Von Neumann-type quantum computer.
Until now. Today, Matteo Mariantoni at the UC Santa Barbara and pals reveal the first quantum computer with an information processing unit and a separate random access memory.
Their machine is a superconducting device that stores quantum bits or qubits as counter-rotating currents in a circuit (this allows the qubit to be both a 0 and 1 at the same time). These qubits are manipulated using superconducting quantum logic gates, transferred using a quantum bus and stored in separate microwave resonators.
The computational power and informational density of classical computers is limited with uncertainty principle in the same way, like at the case of quantum computers. It means, for consumer electronics operating at room temperature it has no meaning, whether you would decrease the number of atoms in classical transistors to the physical limit for the sake of their information density or whether you would increase the redundancy of quabits for the sake of their sufficient reliability - the effectiveness of both devices will converge to the same value.

Of course, the quantum computers running at the (near) zero temperature
would supersede the classical computers running at room temperature
pretty much - but the classical computers would run a way better at
these low temperatures as well.

Jinnah vs. Gandhi
Hello dear friends,
On the occasion of our 65th independence day of India, Times of India had launched a special edition. While reading the paper, I came across an interesting page titled ‘Father’s day 2’. This article was all about the book ‘Jinnah vs. Gandhi’ written by British historian Roderick Matthews. When Mr. Mathews was interviewed about the book, some of the questions asked and the answers given by him were as follows:
Q1. What inspired you to write about Indian history?
A) I read modern history at Oxford University and my special subjects were politics and empire. I also have family links to India. My great grandfather was Charles Roberts Under-Secretary of State for India. When Gandhi came to London in 1914, he stayed with him. Gandhi fell ill and it was Roberts who persuaded him to return to India, inadvertently precipitating the fall of British Raj.
Gandhi was in London to meet Gopal Gokhale, a politician fighting for Indian independence who was his and Jinnah’s guru. My great grandmother Cecilia Roberts took to nursing Gandhi.
Q2. Why did you decide to do book on Jinnah vs. Gandhi?
A) It is a hot topic and a very few authors have written about them together.
Q3. What are the conclusions you draw in the book?
A) I say that Pakistan got the worse of Jinnah and India got the best of Gandhi and the two countries that came out of that reflect the strength and weakness of those leaders.
Pakistan is now paranoid, too small, military indefensible, and tends towards hero worship. India is muddled but very free, vibrant diverse and tolerant mostly.
I say that Jinnah had a very negative nationalism. His vision of Pakistan was that it should not be Hindu-dominated or British-dominated and filled with Muslims. But he made no attempt to define what a Muslim nation was. Muslim people always say that he wanted a strict Islamic nation but I don’t think he did; he just wanted a state for Muslims.
Gandhi had a positive inclusive nationalism that anyone in India was Indian. India is now inclusive, noisy, merry, vibrant and positive and that is what Gandhi wanted to propagate. But not all of Gandhi is represented in India as he also advocated alcohol prohibition, was anti consumerism, pro-celibacy and against violence. So he wouldn’t like modern consumerist India with its nuclear weapons.
Q4. Why is Pakistan lagging behind India today?
A) Jinnah had been asking for partition ever since 1940 but the congress had resisted. Then with the country becoming ungovernable, their idea was to get the best India and create the worst Pakistan. Jinnah had no choice but to accept partition as he had asked for it so often. Jinnah wanted a big Pakistan but he got a smaller Pakistan and the provinces he got were poor. So, Pakistan was a poor country from start.
Nehru was for it at the end as he wanted to get rid of Jinnah as he kept making more demands. The brits had lost power by then to impose anything. They were bankrupt by 1947 and wanted to leave India. Partition was agreed on by all parties and not imposed by but backed by British.
Nehru later admitted that partition was a big mistake but they had waited so long to get into government and it was being offered to them and they could have a very big India with a big central government so they could bring social reform. Congress pushed through land reform in India whereas in Pakistan Jinnah did nothing to dismantle the land-owing elite, who were his supporters and Pakistan did not get a constitution for another decade.
So friends, this interview gives us a short introduction about the book and about the author’s view and approach towards the subject. According to me, the topic is quite interesting and I would love to take a glance at the book. If anyone of you people are interested in Indian history and would like to know how the two nations were shaped from the beginning I would like you also to take a quick look at the book.
Also if you people have more interesting topics for the blog, your ideas are always welcome. You can send me your articles ,poems or any stuff which shows ur creativity and talent will be published in the blog with the contributors name id: defaulterssot.07@gmail.com

WeLcoMe To ISB&M SOT
Dear Friends
Like they say an institution will suRvive and Last for Decades only when they have their own toRch bearers to carry over their legacy & culture to the masses and also lead the institution as the best of both worlds.
Yes,friends the beginners have always a great responsibility to take care of the future of the institution. As oUr Computer teachers preach ' Output is what That Matters' .So i take this GoLden Post to Welcome our new F.E Students A Heartily WelCome To The ISB&M Family and congratulate their decision.
Orientation Programme (O.P) :
The O.P Of the F.E took place @ the Audi. on 6th of August. The ceremony was started with Lighting Of Lamp followed by Speeches by the Academic Director Dr P.K. De,Principal Dr. Vijay Aurora,Dr. V.R. Naik...........
During the speeches the Honorable Guests Emphasized on the History & Journey of the ISB&M Into A Global Brand. And also the importance Of taking forward the name & fame of our collage was well conveyed.
It ws followed by a super RoCknG performance by the SOT RoCk team FoRmally named '6LBG'
which consists of Anmol,Andy,Leyon,Kaustubh & Neil Keni. The band with their high eNd fusion numbers and music mixtures left the audience thrilled......!
Also, Vinay Shinde & Guarang From SE Mech had a Superb EnGlisH number.
The Workshop By The ISB&M Design School on the title 'Introduction to Engg. Graphics' was quiet knowledgeable and given students Ideas & Techniques for the same.
One of the awaited event was the Drum Performance by the Mechanical HOD Dr. Rahul Ribeiro he once again made the crowd to dance with him with his stunning performance pairing with Prof. Vijay from Design School.
Finally the event came to a halt @ 5 pm with the intro. of the faculties by F.E Coordinator Dr Swapnil B. Patil. Followed by Vote of Thanks by Prof. Ashu who worked tirelessly with the students Representatives throughout from the beginning to the end of the event with her guidance and cooperation.
Out of all the programs the most interested event (atleast for me......ha ha ! ) was 'The High Tea' by which the O.P came to an end welcoming & introducing all the F.E to the huge ISB&M Family.
Somthng To Ponder :Guyz get ready each branch is gong to start separate societies....
Somthng To Look Forward: The new revised syllabi for the FE will be there @ the nxt blog........
Somthng For NOW : keep on enjoyng the blog by giving Like & Share the page with everyone.....
